We are seeking an experienced Sr Data Modeler. In this onsite contract role, you will serve as a core data modeling specialist, driving the design, architecture, and optimization of mission-critical data models with a strong focus on MongoDB, Snowflake, and the mortgage finance domain.

 Key Responsibilities

* Deliver core, hands-on enterprise data modeling where data modeling is your primary responsibility, not just a secondary exposure from a Data Engineering role.

* Design and implement document-based data models using MongoDB, handling complex JSON and other semi-structured data structures.

* Partner with business stakeholders, architecture teams, and data engineering to align data models with enterprise architecture, data integration, and ETL requirements.

* Leverage strong SQL proficiency and hands-on Snowflake experience to build scalable cloud data structures.

* Apply deep mortgage domain expertise to support housing finance initiatives, ensuring data accuracy and alignment with industry standards.

* Exercise independent leadership and problem-solving, contributing proactive ideas and solutions rather than simply executing assigned tasks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

* Core, hands-on experience in enterprise data modeling as a primary responsibility.

* Recent hands-on experience with MongoDB, including designing and working with document-based data models.

* Strong mortgage domain experience with recent, consistent involvement in mortgage-related projects.

* Strong proficiency in SQL and hands-on experience with Snowflake.

* Experience modeling JSON and other semi-structured data formats.

* Solid understanding of data integration, ETL pipelines, and enterprise data architecture.

* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams.

* Local to the McLean, VA area (strongly preferred for this onsite role).

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with multi-family mortgage or housing finance data.

* Familiarity with data governance and data quality frameworks.

* Exposure to cloud-based data platforms beyond Snowflake.

* Experience working in consulting or client-facing environments.
