Job Description:
This is a hands-on staff augmentation role supporting a combination of project-based initiatives and ongoing day to day workforce data, reporting, and analytics need. The ideal resource will bring a balanced mix of strong technical capability and strategic analytical insight – equally comfortable building and troubleshooting data solutions as they are interpreting workforce trends, developing insights, and translating data into clear recommendations that support business decision-making.
The resource should have deep experience working with HR and workforce data and be able to partner effectively across HR, Finance, IT, and other business functions. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement are critical. This individual will regularly work with functional leaders, technical teams, data owners, and external vendors to clarify requirements, solve problems, connect data to business context, and move work forward independently.
Key Responsibilities:
Workday Data Cloud Implementation
- Support the Workday Data Cloud implementation from project kickoff, partnering across HRIS, IT, enterprise data teams, business data owners, and external vendors.
- Define priority workforce datasets, source systems, required fields, business definitions, ownership, and analytics use cases.
- Inventory and assess internal and vendor-managed systems that will connect to Data Cloud and coordinate data access, mapping, connectivity, and source-system readiness.
- Support data modeling, transformation logic, governance, lineage, testing, and documentation.
- Help establish a scalable workforce data foundation that reduces manual data movement and enables integrated cross-functional analytics.
Connected Workplace 2.0
- Support recurring and ad hoc data audits, reconciliations, and reporting requests.
- Validate source data, business logic, calculations, and reporting outputs
- Investigate discrepancies and coordinate resolution across HRIS, IT, Corporate Security, and other data owners.
- Support ongoing reporting enhancements and data quality improvements.
GAC Reporting / Data Automation
- Perform required manual data refreshes and validation while automation work continues.
- Continue automation of existing connectors, including SmartRecruiters.
- Troubleshoot data loads, transformations, and reporting dependencies.
- Transition recurring manual processes toward reliable, scalable automated solutions.
DEI Dashboard
- Perform ongoing manual refreshes and data validation.
- Audit the current data feed and prepare for transition to a Workday-based connection.
- Reconcile source data and business logic and support testing and cutover.
SmartRecruiters Integration Audit Dashboard
- Connect and validate required Workday and SmartRecruiters data sources.
- Establish join logic, identifiers, business rules, and exception handling across systems.
- Build/enhance audit reporting to identify data gaps, mismatches, and integration issues.
- Document source data, logic, refresh processes, and ownership.
Ongoing Analytics & Data Support
- Respond to day-to-day workforce data, reporting, audit, and analytical requests from HR and business stakeholders.
- Investigate and resolve data discrepancies and reporting issues across systems and functions.
- Produce analyses and insights that help stakeholders understand workforce trends and support business decisions.
- Support existing dashboards, recurring reporting, data feeds, and analytics processes while identifying opportunities for simplification and automation.
Cross-Cutting Expectations
- Bring strong technical capability across Workday, Power BI, SQL/data modeling, integrations, and workforce data, with Workday Prism and/or Workday Data Cloud experience highly desirable.
- Bring significant experience working with HR and workforce data across HR, Finance, and other enterprise functions, including understanding how workforce information is created, governed, integrated, and used.
- Communicate effectively with both senior business stakeholders and technical teams and comfortably translate between functional requirements and technical solutions.
- Proactively engage data owners, functional leaders, IT partners, and vendors to gather requirements, resolve issues, and drive work to completion.
- Translate data into clear, decision-relevant insights rather than simply delivering reports or datasets.
- Work independently, manage multiple concurrent priorities, surface risks early, and balance immediate operational needs with longer-term scalability and automation.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in workforce analytics, HR data analytics, HRIS data, business intelligence, data analytics, or a related field.
- Strong hands-on experience working with HR/workforce data across HR, Finance, IT, and enterprise systems.
- Strong SQL skills with experience querying, validating, reconciling, and transforming data.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI or similar business intelligence/reporting platforms.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data transformation, data quality, data governance, and data lineage.
- Experience working with Workday and HRIS data.
- Experience supporting data integrations, data feeds, connectors, and cross-system reporting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple concurrent priorities, and drive work to completion.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Workday Data Cloud and/or Workday Prism Analytics.
- Experience with Workday integrations and reporting.
- Experience integrating Workday and SmartRecruiters or other talent acquisition platforms.
- Experience building workforce, HR, DEI, audit, or talent analytics dashboards.
- Experience with data automation and migration from manual processes to automated pipelines.
- Experience with enterprise data platforms, cloud data environments, APIs, ETL/ELT, and integration technologies.
- Knowledge of HR data domains including employee, organizational, recruiting, compensation, diversity, workforce planning, and talent data.
- Experience working with external technology vendors and enterprise data owners.
- Understanding of data governance, ownership, metadata, business definitions, and data stewardship.
- Experience supporting large-scale HR technology or workforce data transformation initiatives.
